When making a hiring decision on a job candidate, the practice at Pratt Regional Medical Center is to complete employment references. This was done upon your initial hiring process and will be done once again as you apply for an internal position within PRMC. Our policy on internal transfer encourages employees to notify their current supervisor of their interest in transferring to another department.
You can expect the hiring manager to contact your supervisor for a current reference. Your performance and abilities will influence the hiring or transfer decision. We (Human Services nor the interviewing manager) will not notify your current supervisor until you have had a chance to consider the transfer and have been interviewed for the new position. At that time your supervisor will be made aware of your request and application for transfer.
